I hinted in my last post that I was working on a new business and I’m excited to tell you that I’m ready to launch it!
It’s taken me much longer to get to this point than I originally planned and there were many days that I wanted to throw in the towel because it seemed like I would never be able to get my ducks in a row. However, since the kids have been back in school and I’ve been able to catch up on laundry again, I’ve had more time to devote to setting everything up.
Before I go ahead and tell you all about my new business venture I want to take a minute to encourage you. If you are working towards a goal and it’s not going as quickly as you would like, keep moving forward anyway. You will get there! I decided a year ago that I wanted to start a new business and the plan was to do it in 10 weeks. That was an ambitious goal, but I thought that if I could get it off the ground before the baby arrived on 12/31 it would be a good thing.
Well, my third trimester was tough. I couldn’t sleep, I had constant heartburn and I was downright anxious to meet my new baby and be done with pregnancy. I thank God that it was a difficult trimester and that I didn’t start my business at that time because there was no way that I could have served clients once the baby arrived. She was a good baby, but for the first time ever I had the baby blues. It was really hard to deal with that and it took me a lot longer to recover from my c-section. During that final trimester and the first six months of this year, though, I spent a little time here and there working on my new business. It was usually only for 15 minutes at a time, but each thing I did moved me closer to the finish line.
But all of that is behind me now. The baby is almost a year old now and she only wakes up once a night, which means I’m getting a pretty good night’s sleep. She is a good napper and the older kids are in school so a have at least a couple of hours each day to focus on my new business. I’m ready to start a new chapter in my family’s financial story!
So with out further adieu I’d like to introduce you to The Bookkeeping Mama! (That’s me!)
I decided to go back to my wheel house and use my college degree (in accounting) to create a virtual bookkeeping business. Here is the really exciting part…I’m only going to serve entrepreneur moms! How cool is that?
I am passionate about helping women who stay at home to raise their children reach their financial dreams. Whether they do this through blogging, an Etsy shop, a network marketing company or some other at-home business, I want to give them the freedom to nurture their business and their family while I focus on their bookkeeping. I want to help them write the next chapter in their business story!
Now, I’d like to ask a favor of each of you. If know an entrepreneur mom that is ready to take her business to the next level and make more money, would you share my information with her? Thank you! I sincerely appreciate it!
(And don’t worry, I’ll still be writing here at Wildflower Four and I am still a Wellness Advocate with doTERRA, which you can email me about anytime!)
